In a lot of cases, I see the quality of the writing improving over time. I take that as a good indication that using blogs can help the students who take them seriously.

- I am a hobbyist bookbinder based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The first bookbinding classes I took were at UC Santa Cruz Extension about 2000. Subsequently I took numerous classes at the San Francisco Center for the Book, including medieval binding with Tom Conroy and Nicholas Yeager. I was also privileged to take the board and clasp intensive from Jim Croft in remote North Idaho in 2008.
